A
picture of a rare or common flower, a frog, a green mountain
trail, a winding road in fall or winter can be a treat to
the eye. One can enjoy these gifts of nature or be attracted
to geometric or haphazard shapes found on the side of a burned-out
building. It's called "scrap art". What about graffiti,
or flying kites?
I might photograph bristling
reminders of nature in jeopardy, such as a scene of a towering
smoke stack producing beautiful billowing shapes of smoke
rising up to pollute the air. I think of the "nature
of beauty", even in such threatening obstacles. In a
cemetery one can see fabulous monuments set in place by loved
ones who have mourned their loss, and now pay tribute in stone
that lasts forever. Peace in the moment can be photographed
here.
Sometimes I look out and see
a most formidable sight to shoot. At other times, I go seeking
and might be lead to a worthy picture.
While taking photos, I witness
beauty first hand. In my cards I share it with you.
